After 110 years, the old bank barn had fallen
into disrepair, the remaining roof was dangling in shreds.
With sweat and ingenuity, Pop Pop Jim set to
restoring the entire building. When he finished, he built a
long bar out of cypress wood. That’s where he can be found
standing behind when guests come to visit.
The Enoteca Va La also offers samplings of Va La wines, with touches
of local Chester County foods. This may include local artisan cheeses,
mustards and jams, fresh breads and focaccias, mushrooms,
or items just plucked from our orchard and garden that day.
Release of new wines, the latest in farm fashions, scintillating tractor gossip, tarot card readings, etc.,
comes to you through the wonders of the intra-nets and direct from the World Corporate Headquarters in Avondale.

The Galleria hosts the works of new artists of the Brandywine Valley,
afternoon concerts, special wine tastings, and offers the opportunity to meet the
artists in person and poke them with sticks, or simply to stare at them and whisper.
